Washington state presents itself in a very unique and majestic fashion: From Seattle to Spokane and the lush forests in the Quinault, Queets, Hoh valleys are some of the most spectacular examples of primeval temperate rain forest in the lower 48 states located in Olympic National Park on the western coast through the majestic mountains and farmlands to the east. Let’s not forget about the wine regions spattered about the state rivaling some of the best wineries of the world, and of course, the peaceful beauty of the San Juan Islands. So diverse in its people as well as its scenic beauty! We would like to thank our friends Scott & Leslie, Bruce & Debbie, and Dave & Jerilyn for their wonderful hospitality which made our visit so memorable.
Farm to table in the Northwest
As in our travels to Italy , it’s all about the ingredients, and in this case farm to table.
We are very fortunate to have friends living in the islands of Washington on their farm The Lopez Island Farm http://www.lopezislandfarm.com/contact.htm where they contribute to the farming community by raising sheep and pigs and sharing so much more.
